Location: Negombo






Negombo is a major city in Sri Lanka, located on the west coast of the island and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon, in Western Province, Sri Lanka. 
Negombo is the fifth largest city in the country and it is known for it's huge and old fishing industry with busy fish markets, and the nice sandy beaches with modern hotels, guest houses, fine restaurants, pubs and night life.

Location - Kaudulla -Sri-Lanka

 
Kaudulla is a National Park of Sri Lanka located 197 km away from Colombo. Designated a national park in 2002, Kaudulla ( 6656 ha elephant corridor between Somawathiya Chaitya (Stupa) and Minneriya National Park ) is the 15th such area on the island. 
Kaudulla Wewa, the ancient man made lake was built by the sister of great tank builder King Mahasena (276-303 AD). 
Best time to visit is between August & December and the main attraction is herds of migrating elephants, mainly in the month of October.

Mammals: leopards, fishing cats, sambar deer, the endangered rusty spotted cat, sloth bear.
Birds: cormorants, painted storks and many other species.
